In case you want to walk out of a festival as a human rainbow, this is where you go!

The Holi Festival has a long and spiritual history. Originated in India, people celebrate the good winning over evil and the end of winter, welcoming spring with its many colours. People also use the festival of colours, or The Festival of sharing Love to do exactly that! They forgive old quarrels, move on from broken relationships and being grateful for their harvest. Coming from Hinduism, the Holi Festival of Colours spread around the world, making a trend of celebrating the colours of life. It was about time that someone made this a Thing. In Berlin, 2012 with 2,500 visitors the first colour bomb drop became a trend around the world within weeks. Soon after the first drop went online, everyone wanted to go. Obviously, this new music festival celebrating with colour powder being thrown around was a huge deal in the media, so we soon started obsessing about The Holi Festival!

Watch this if you haven't seen the original European colour powder explosion I am talking about:

Counting down from ten to zero, everyone throws their colour bags in the air and that's all it takes to get us hooked. Obviously the so-called drops evolved since 2012, giving us even more of a kick. With the right DJ and Hypeman, this is the outcome:

The small Team of the official organisers (Holi Concept GmbH) of the Holi Festival of Colours focuses largely on web design, Social Media Marketing and PR and Sponsoring.

Content in different languages allows the organisers to show that they are internationally operating and keen on bringing the Holi Festival to other places than Europe and North America, where they are mostly happening now. To conclude, the Holi Concept GmbH is going out there to find you, wherever you are and bring you some colour in your lives!

Because of concerns that the Holi Festivals is a mockery, organisers keep is as little commercialised as possible. Digital Marketing strategies are being kept to a minimum, leaving the focus on the essentials of the festival: sharing Love!

And sharing is the exact word we're looking for here. Organisers, sponsors, visitors and musicians all share their Holi experience online. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest. For some reason we all enjoy looking at Online Content from Holi Festivals. Not only do we love pictures of the crowd in white clothing, covered in colour powder, but we also love the fact that we can look at people doing exactly that. It gives us a positive feeling and maybe we are a tiny bit jealous that we haven't had that experience (yet).

Their animating content excites us, so naturally we want to be part of it. If it looks fun, it's got to be fun! That's why we tell our friends, are plans and get tickets. On our way doing research looking for cheap tickets, we find their Instagram account, enter the competitions and raffles hoping to win tickets for ourselves and our friends, but at the end of the day we buy them anyway.

And Boom! Now, we are part of the crowd, getting ourselves covered with the rainbow of life, smiling, dancing and loving, becoming one of those magnificent posts ourself as Instagram demonstrates:

But why do we care about Social Media so much? Check out my Social Media post to find out!

Therefore the festival is sponsored by small organisations using little marketing strategy, instead of pulling out the big guns. Holy Concept considers all offer for sponsoring and is very supportive to start-ups. Click here for their Sponsoring information. Holy Concept allows organisations to integrate their own brand, however, not make it an advertising space. The key word for small brands (Supporters) is support, not branding.
